What we do with your data
Last changed: 04.10.2026
This page says what we collect, why, where it goes, and how to ask for deletion. Without legal formulas where plain words will do.
Who handles the data
ALEKSEI BYCHENKO PR RAČUNARSKO PROGRAMIRANJE PROTOK SUBOTICA, sole trader, Subotica, Republic of Serbia, registration number 68771773. For anything about data: help@svitaxi.rs.
The ride itself is carried out by a licensed taxi service. They are a separate controller for what they need in order to drive you and charge for it: name, phone number and the addresses of that ride.
What we collect
It depends on who you are in the app.
- Passenger: email address (that is how you sign in), phone number (the driver calls you on it), name if you give one, pickup and drop-off addresses, the time and price of the ride, the rating you leave, messages sent to the driver during the ride. If you mark that you travel with a pet or have reduced mobility, the driver sees it in the offer and the taxi company in the ride history.
- Driver: name, phone number, taxi licence and vehicle details, the position of the car while on shift, ride history.
- Application through the site: name, phone number, the name of your taxi service if you have one, and the message you write.
- Store notification: the email address or phone number you leave on the site. We use it only to tell you once that the app is on Google Play and the App Store, and delete it afterwards, and in any case within a year.
- A message to support through the site, without signing in: name, an email address or phone number to answer on, and the message you write.
- Anyone who opens the app: the technical data every browser sends — device address, browser type, time of the request.
The car position and yours
The driver's position is sent only while they are on shift. It is used to offer you the nearest car and show where it is and how long it needs, to confirm the car has reached the address, and to measure the ride — distance driven and time in traffic — so price estimates get more accurate. The car's distance from the address at arrival, pickup and cancellation is kept in the ride history to settle disputes. Off shift it is not sent.
Your position is used to propose a pickup point. A proposal stays a proposal — until you confirm it, no ride is ordered from there. While the driver is on the way and waiting, they see where you are standing — only while the app is open on your screen; once you are in the car or the ride ends, that point is deleted.
Where the data goes
We do not sell data and do not use it for advertising. It goes only where it is needed for the app to work:
- The taxi service carrying the ride — they see the ride they are carrying out.
- Supabase (database and sign-in), Paris region, European Union.
- Fly.io (the site itself), Frankfurt region, European Union.
- Nominatim and OSRM, public services of the OpenStreetMap project — the address you type and the coordinates go there, so that we get a point on the map and a route.
- OpenAI — in two cases. If you write to support, the text of your message goes to their model, which composes the reply. If you and your driver speak different languages, messages during the ride go to the same model to be translated. Their servers are outside the European Union.
- Telegram — driver applications, support messages and rides we could not find a car for (name, phone number and pickup address, so that we can call you and apologise) also arrive there, so that a person sees them at once. A short note about every ride arrives there too — from where, to where and when, the driver and the plate, the price and how it ended (with the cancellation reason the passenger chose), without the passenger’s name or phone number — so that we can see the service is working.
- Google (Firebase) and Apple — deliver notifications to the phone. What passes through them is what the notification itself says: the pickup address, the driver name and plate, the ride code, and for a call for help the name of whoever raised it. The chat text, the destination address and the phone number do not go into notifications.
- Mapbox — draws the map. The phone requests map tiles directly, so Mapbox sees the device address and which part of the map is open.
How long we keep it
Ride history and platform usage fee accounting stay with the taxi service for as long as their bookkeeping requires — that is not our choice, and we do not delete it on request.
What is yours rather than bookkeeping — name, phone number, saved addresses — is deleted on request.
The "follow my ride" link stops working the moment the ride ends. It does not stay behind as a trace somebody can open again.
Your rights
You can delete your account yourself, in the app: menu → Delete account. What is then deleted, and what stays with the taxi service without your name, is set out at svitaxi.rs/brisanje-naloga.
Passengers change their name and phone number themselves: menu → My profile; for drivers, the taxi company does. You can also ask for a copy of your data or for anything inaccurate to be corrected. Write to help@svitaxi.rs from the number or address you use in the app, so that we know it is you.
If you believe something is wrong with your data, you have the right to contact Serbia's Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection.
Cookies and visit counting
We do not use tracking cookies and have no analytics that follows you around other sites. Only what the app cannot work without is stored: that you are signed in, and which language you chose.
On the site we count visits and clicks on the order and install buttons, per day, without cookies and without storing the IP address or any lasting identifier. To count the same person once a day we keep only a one-way code made from the date, the device address and the browser type with a random key that changes every day and is deleted within two days: the code is different the next day, and the address cannot be recovered from it. These records are deleted after 180 days. The apps send none of this.
